Who do you work with?

I provide online/teletherapy sessions to adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults residing in the state of New York.

How much do sessions cost?

Individual sessions are $200 and run 50 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and Cigna via Alma. I am out of network with all other insurance plans. You can use this free cost estimator tool to check your mental health care coverage.

What methods of payment do you accept?

I keep the card of your choice on file, to process through our HIPAA-compliant billing system. I also accept Venmo and Zelle.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule our appointment. Otherwise you will be responsible for the full session fee. If you are using insurance, the full session fee is not your co-pay amount.

Are our sessions confidential?

Communication between a client and their therapist is completely confidential. No information can be disclosed without prior written permission from the client. However, I am required by law to report to the authorities the following circumstances:

  • If I suspect that an individual may be involved in child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.

  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.

  • If a client intends to harm themselves.

What’s the point of a consultation?

The best clinical relationship is one based on trust, because you need to feel safe and respected enough to share openly in session. A phone consultation is our time to feel things out and make sure that the two of us can do the work together. If for whatever reason we are unable to work together I am more than happy to help you navigate the search for a LGBTQIA+ therapist so please feel free to reach out!

How can I schedule a consultation?

You can use the Contact form on the website.

I need a letter for Gender Affirming Medical Care.

Can you help?

Yes! I am well-versed in crafting support letters for cross-hormone treatment and surgeries, adhering to WPATH Standards of Care. This service is available independently, allowing you to schedule assessment sessions with me without the need for ongoing therapy. I am dedicated to avoiding gatekeeping in trans healthcare, and there is no set session requirement for letter completion.
